Dr. Jacob Allaeb, our in-house oral surgeon
Dr. Allaeb received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lincoln Hospital Medical and Mental Health Center, an affiliate of the Weill Cornell Medical College, where he completed a 4-year residency and served as chief resident in his final year.
His training and experience give him expertise in dental implants and full arch rehabilitation, tooth removal and management of wisdom teeth, complex bone augmentation and reconstruction, intravenous sedation, and management of TMJ disorders. Because he works in our office, you never need a separate trip to a specialist.

Your surgeon will give you instructions for your specific procedure. These general tips help most patients heal comfortably in the first few days:
In the first few days:
- Rest for the remainder of the day after your surgery
- Bite gently on gauze to control bleeding
- Use an ice pack on and off for the first day to keep swelling down
- Choose soft foods and cool drinks
- Avoid straws, smoking and spitting, which can disturb healing
